Dedicated to the memory of Valerie Millard

This site is a tribute to Valerie Millard. She was much loved and will always be remembered by all who knew her.

Hello it's Mark and Neil here .... As many of you know mum suffered with Dementia for the past 12 years or so. Fortunately it was a slow process and although she became very quiet, probably too worried at repeating herself, she was still able to recognise her friends and family. Something we are very grateful for. Unfortunately she passed away at 7AM on May 10 following a heart attack. In lieu of flowers we are asking people who wish to pay a tribute to make a donation to the Dementia UK group. This will help other suffers and their families. We (the whole family) thank you for your compassion.

Thoughts

Our beloved Mum Every day we hold those that are dear To our hearts so they can be near Some times those we hold as beloved Get a calling too soon to fly up above We are pulled in so many ways End up walking around in a daze For now our beloved has a new life to come We'll remember her as a wife, a nana and a mum She'll watch over us and walk with us each day And we'll remember her and smile and cry But now our beloved is taking a rest And we say we love you, goodnight and God bless xxx (written by Caroline Millard)

Feel no guilt in laughter. Feel no guilt in laughter, she know how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that she is not here to share. You cannot grieve forever, she would not want you to. She'd hope that you could carry on the way you always do. So talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared, the days you spent together, all the happiness you shared. Let memories surround you, a word someone may say will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day, that brings her back as clearly as though she was still there and fills you with the feeling that she is always near. For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart, and she will live forever, locked in your heart. Love always Babs & Brian
